On Saturday, November 20, BCC Mission Team agreed to provide 200 sandwiches to the Guest House for their sandwich ministry.  Because this falls on a Saturday, we are asking families to make 10 sandwiches and bring them to BCC on Saturday, November 20th from 11-11:30am, so that we can deliver the sandwiches at noon.  Guidelines for the making of sandwiches are below along with the Signup Genius so that we know who will be participating.

Guest House of Milwaukee provides shelter, housing, education and services to Milwaukee’s homeless who seek to transform their lives with dignity and purpose.  Their sandwich ministry works to combat food insecurity in their immediate neighborhood by providing 300-500 sandwiches daily.

Here are the guidelines:

Please wash hands, cover surface of table with covering or plastic, wear masks and gloves – all for safe preparation.

2 pieces of bread (whole grain or wheat), 2 pieces of meat (turkey or ham), 1 slice of cheese, NO mayonnaise or mustard, do not cut in half.  Put into a Ziploc sandwich storage bag and mark the bag with a sharpie (H for ham or T for Turkey and the date that the sandwiches were made).

We would love to see your family making sandwiches! If you would like to submit a photo, please just send it to [email protected]
