*Advent begins Sunday, November 29 with  the Mission Gifts Festival as our first Advent message.

*Don’t forget to send me your favorite Christmas Memories.  I will be incorporating them into worship as part of story time each week beginning November 29.

*A special at home Advent gift will be delivered to your home in the next few days. These mangers come as a gift from the church to you and include a unique way to engage in the Advent season.  You will read all about it in the card that comes with it.  This recreation of an Advent Workshop craft from the 1970’s at BCC should arrive at each household.  If you do not receive one by November 29 and want one, just call the church office and let us know and we will get one out to you.

*The Advent Pony Express begins this week too.  A large envelope will pass from household to household with a special way to share.  Please pass the package along so that everyone gets to contribute.  Enjoy this fun way to stay connected.

*The Starlight Advent Walk begins Sunday, November 29 and will continue Sundays from 4-6pm and Thursdays from 6-8pm.  Those evenings the Memorial Garden will be lit up with luminaries and spot lights on the trees for a contemplative walk through the garden.  Cathy Benjamin has written a reflection for each week.  A guide will greet you and assist you.  If you want to see the Starlight Advent Walk but are unsure of your footing, you can view it from the church parking lot.  A guide will hand you the devotional.  We will practice mask wearing and safe social distancing as well.

*If you want to purchase a luminary in honor or memory of someone for the Starlight Advent Walk you can do so by contacting the church office. Dedications should be received by November 29. The cost is $10.

*Finally, Rev. Holly Whitcomb’s class on “The Seven Spiritual Gifts of Waiting” begins on December 5.  You will receive the zoom link shortly if you signed up.  Interested?  Click on this link to sign up and/or order a book.
