On June 3rd the Milwaukee District Garden Clubs will again sponsor a Plant Share at Habitat headquarters in Milwaukee and offer free plants and garden accessories to Milwaukee County Habitat homeowners. At the Plant Share garden club members share their knowledge and assist with selection of the plants with homeowners as well as build flower, vegetable, and herb container gardens with them. The homeowners always look forward to this favorite event with openness and excitement to be able to take pride in and enhance their yard!

If you would like to donate/divide any plants from your garden or by purchase, I would be happy to collect them (annuals or perennial flowers, vegetables, and herbs – in plastic pots with labels are preferred) at church and bring them to the Plant Share. However, please do not dig in your gardens if you have had jumping worms. Used or new garden tools/accessories/picture books/seeds, etc. are also welcome. Trays for the plants and accessories will be/can be placed on the side of the church front overhang and will be collected periodically until May 30th. Thanks for your consideration!
