We’re so glad you’ve decided to visit us! BCC is an “Open and Affirming” congregation and we welcome visitors wherever they are on their faith journey. Our congregation size is 350, with average attendance of 110-120. You’ll find a list of commonly asked questions below. Please don’t hesitate to send us a message or give us a call at (262) 786-4155 to let us know you’re coming!

What should I wear?

Brookfield Congregational Church has a ‘come as you are’ atmosphere. You will see some dressed up, some dressed casually. We have no expectations for attire.

Where do my kids go?

Children ages 0-3 are welcome in our Nursery. The Nursery is located towards the Gathering Room (take a left after you enter the building). Children ages 4 and up stay in worship until after ‘A Time for the Child in All of Us’, the children’s message. Children participating in Children’s Church are then dismissed and go to their classrooms. Pre-K through 2nd grade (ages 4-7) go to the Blast Room, 3rd through 5th grade (ages 8-10) are in the Grow Room, 6th and 7th graders (ages 11-12) meet in the Grapple Room. Our 8th through 12th graders are part of the Etc. group (ages 13-18), which meets in the Youth Room during Sunday worship every third Sunday of the month. Of course you’re welcome to have your kids worship with you (but they’ll probably enjoy our age-level ministries much more!).

What is a Sunday service like?

Our Sunday services offer an inspiring worship and Biblical teaching that is relevant to everyday life. Take a look at past sermons to get a feel for the types of messages you will hear. Each service lasts about an hour.

When is communion and who is invited?

Communion is served every first Sunday of the month. Everyone is invited to participate in communion. Children may participate upon discretion of their parents.

Do you have Special Accommodations?

We have hearing assisted devices available in the Narthex. Seat cushions are available as you enter the Sanctuary. A wheelchair accessible restroom is available at the far end of the hallway. Our Library and Nursery are equipped with sound systems for listening to the worship service.

Be sure to say ‘Hello!’

When you visit, don’t forget to say ‘Hi’ to our Pastor, Laura McLeod. We’d love to meet you and your family, and answer any questions you may have. We’re so glad you decided to visit Brookfield Congregational Church!
